Competition Terms & Conditions: By submitting a photo to the Potatoes Tasmania Photo Competition (the “Competition”), participants agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions. Please read them carefully before submitting your entry. 1. Eligibility The Competition is open to all individuals residing in Australia. Any competitors under the age of 18 must have consent from a parent or guardian to enter. Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Potatoes Tasmania are not eligible to enter. Individuals can enter as many photographs as they like, as long as each entry is a unique photograph. 2. How to Enter To enter, participants must submit their photo(s) in accordance with the submission instructions provided by Potatoes Tasmania. All photos must be submitted by the closing date communicated by Potatoes Tasmania. Late submissions will not be accepted. Submissions must be the original work of the participant. Photos generated using artificial intelligence (AI) tools are not eligible. 3. Photo Requirements Photos must be suitable for publication and must not contain offensive, defamatory, or inappropriate content. Photos must not infringe the intellectual property rights or privacy rights of any third party. If a person is identifiable in a photo, the participant must have that person’s written consent prior to submission. 4. Judging and Winners A panel of judges will assess all eligible entries. Two (2) winning photos will be selected at the judges’ sole discretion. The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding the outcome. Each winning participant will receive a cash prize of AUD $500 (five hundred dollars). Winners will be notified directly by Potatoes Tasmania. If a winner cannot be contacted or does not respond within 14 days of notification, Potatoes Tasmania reserves the right to select an alternate winner. 5. Intellectual Property and Licence By entering the Competition, each participant grants Potatoes Tasmania a perpetual, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to use, reproduce, publish, and display their submitted photo(s) on the Potatoes Tasmania website, social media, digital channels, printed material and any other related materials. Potatoes Tasmania will not sell submitted photos to third parties. All submitted photos — including those not selected as winners — may be used by Potatoes Tasmania in accordance with clause 15 above. 6. Privacy Personal information collected from participants will be used solely for the purposes of administering the Competition and notifying winners. Potatoes Tasmania will handle all personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and its Privacy Policy, available on request. Participants’ names may be published in connection with the announcement of winners. 7. Disqualification Potatoes Tasmania reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these Terms and Conditions, or that is deemed inappropriate at its sole discretion. Any attempt to tamper with or manipulate the Competition process may result in disqualification. 8. Limitation of Liability To the extent permitted by law, Potatoes Tasmania accepts no responsibility for any loss, damage, or injury arising from participation in the Competition or the use of any prize. Potatoes Tasmania is not liable for any technical issues, delays, or failures in the submission process. 9. General These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of Tasmania, Australia. Potatoes Tasmania reserves the right to modify or cancel the Competition at any time without prior notice. By submitting an entry, participants confirm they have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and Conditions.
